BAS Controls Technician - Tampa
We are seeking skilled Controls Technicians to join our Controls Division. In this role, you will install and support building automation and control systems while delivering exceptional service to our customers.
Responsibilities:
- Install control wiring, sensors, controllers, and related software for building automation systems.
- Perform accurate troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repairs on complex electronic control systems.
- Manage assigned tasks efficiently, ensuring timely, professional, and ethical project execution.
- Provide customer training on system functionality and daily operation.
- Support mechanical teams by offering guidance and training on building automation technologies.
- Assist with programming, commissioning, and ongoing servicing of BAS and facility management systems.
- Complete additional duties as assigned to support overall system performance and customer needs.
Qualifications:
- At least 3 years of experience servicing electronic and/or mechanical systems.
- Strong understanding of common HVAC equipment, including boilers, chillers, heat pumps, air handlers, and terminal units.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Proficient with PC-based tools and capable of programming HVAC-related software.
- Preferred experience with platforms such as Tridium, Carrier, Metasys, Trane, or similar systems.
