Role Overview
As a Building Envelope Consultant, you will manage a portfolio of 5-15 active faƧade or parking restoration projects at any given time. You'll serve as the primary point of contact for clients, oversee field investigations and construction administration, and lead internal teams through all phases of project delivery. Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage multiple faƧade restoration (LL11) and parking garage rehabilitation (LL126) projects simultaneously
Conduct site assessments, forensic investigations, and condition surveys of building envelope systems
Develop repair scopes, technical specifications, and construction documents
Oversee bidding, contractor selection, and construction administration
Coordinate with clients, contractors, and internal teams to ensure timely and high-quality project delivery
Mentor junior staff and contribute to team development
Ensure compliance with NYC DOB regulations, FISP/LL11, LL126, and other applicable codes
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture, Civil or Structural Engineering, or a related field
Professional licensure required: PE (Professional Engineer) or RA (Registered Architect)
Minimum 7 years of experience managing faƧade restoration and/or parking structure rehabilitation projects
Deep understanding of NYC Local Laws 11 and 126, including inspection and filing requirements
Strong technical knowledge of building envelope systems, waterproofing, and structural repair methods
Excellent communication, leadership, and client management skills
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and project management tools
Preferred Attributes
Aspiration to obtain QEWI (Qualified Exterior Wall Inspector) or QPSI (Qualified Parking Structure Inspector) certification
Experience managing teams and mentoring junior professionals
