Position Title: Carbon Asset Manager
Location: Hybrid - Candidates must be based within one hour of a major metropolitan area in the U.S.

A mission-driven organization in the carbon solutions space is hiring an Asset Manager to help scale high-integrity decarbonization projects, with a focus on nature-based solutions.
Role Summary:
The Asset Manager will oversee the financial performance and optimization of their carbon assets, ensuring alignment with investment goals. This cross-functional role involves collaboration with internal teams and external partners, and is ideal for a proactive, analytical professional eager to shape a growing function.
Key Responsibilities:
- Optimize operational performance of carbon project assets in collaboration with internal science and supply teams and external project developers.
- Analyze asset performance data and manage reporting for internal and external stakeholders.
- Identify and mitigate project risks, including insurance policy management.
- Coordinate project finance deployment in alignment with investment agreements.
- Maintain strong relationships with project developers and serve as the internal expert on asset health.
- Support commercialization efforts for forward carbon credits through client engagement and inventory oversight.
- Address legal, regulatory, and operational issues to ensure compliance with project documentation.
- Research and implement best practices and software tools for asset monitoring.
- Prepare presentations and insights for senior leadership and board-level audiences.
- Develop frameworks and processes to translate strategic goals into operational initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field.
- 4-7 years of experience managing real-world assets and investments
- Strong understanding of project finance, legal contracts, accounting, and negotiations.
- Knowledge of the carbon credit market is essential; experience in solar, wind, or other environmental commodities is a plus.
- Proven track record managing complex infrastructure projects.
- Ability to interpret financial models and assess operational impacts.
- Strong analytical skills and experience in budget management.
