We are currently supporting a fast-growing battery storage company in the search for a Chief Financial Officer (CFO). This is a pivotal leadership role responsible for shaping the company's financial strategy, driving operational efficiency, and ensuring robust financial health to support long-term growth. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record in manufacturing finance, particularly in the renewable energy or energy storage sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Cash Flow & Financial Management

  • Ensure effective cash flow forecasting, liquidity planning, and working capital optimization.

  • Lead budgeting, financial planning, and cost control to support operational and strategic goals.

  • Monitor financial performance and provide actionable insights to senior leadership.

2. Operational Finance

  • Oversee day-to-day finance operations, including accounting, reporting, and financial controls.

  • Implement financial systems and processes that support production scaling and cross-functional coordination.

  • Partner with operations and supply chain teams to improve cost efficiency and margins.

3. Fundraising & Capital Structuring

  • Develop and execute capital-raising strategies, including equity, debt, and strategic financing.

  • Manage relationships with banks, investors, and financial institutions to secure funding for expansion and R&D initiatives.

  • Prepare financial materials and lead negotiations for funding rounds.

4. Stakeholder & Board Management

  • Serve as the key finance contact for internal and external stakeholders, including board members, investors, auditors, and regulators.

  • Present financial results, forecasts, and strategic plans to the board and investment partners.

  • Support M&A activities, JV partnerships, and investor relations as needed.

5. Risk & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with relevant tax, legal, and regulatory requirements across jurisdictions.

  • Identify and mitigate financial and operational risks proactively

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (MBA or CPA preferred).

  • Minimum 15 years of progressive financial leadership experience, with at least 3 years in a CFO or equivalent role.

  • Proven track record in manufacturing finance, preferably in the battery storage, energy, or industrial sectors.

  • Experience with cross-border operations, fundraising, and scaling growth-stage companies.

  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
