A well-established civil engineering consulting firm is hiring a Civil Design Engineer to support a growing portfolio of land development projects across the Denver metro area. This is a strong opportunity for an early-career engineer looking to build a solid technical foundation while gaining exposure to a wide range of project types. You will work closely with experienced engineers and project managers, contributing directly to project delivery while continuing to build your skill set.
What you'll be doing
- Support the design and execution of land development projects including commercial, residential, and mixed-use developments
- Assist with grading, drainage, utility layout, and stormwater management design
- Prepare construction documents and detailed plan sets using AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Collaborate with project managers and senior engineers to develop design solutions and meet client objectives
- Coordinate with internal disciplines and support communication with external stakeholders
- Assist with entitlement and permitting processes across local Colorado jurisdictions
- Contribute to technical calculations, engineering reports, and supporting documentation
What they're looking for
- 1 to 4 years of civil engineering experience or strong relevant internship experience
- EIT certification required, with intent to pursue PE licensure
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and familiarity with site design workflows
- Exposure to land development projects, ideally within the Colorado market
- Basic understanding of drainage design, grading, and utility systems
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and ability to work in a team environment
