Electrical Engineer

A multidisciplinary engineering and consulting firm with decades of experience is seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to join its Raleigh, NC office. The firm serves clients across industrial, municipal, and commercial sectors, delivering innovative and reliable engineering solutions.

Position Summary:

This role involves leading the design and development of electrical systems for a variety of facility types, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. A PE license is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and specify electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, and controls.
  • Develop construction documents and technical specifications.
  • Perform system calculations and analysis (e.g., load studies, fault current analysis).
  • Coordinate with clients, architects, and other engineering disciplines.
  • Conduct field investigations and site assessments.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior staff.
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, and deliverables.
  • Ensure compliance with NEC, NFPA, and other applicable codes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • 5+ years of experience in electrical design for facilities or infrastructure projects.
  • PE license preferred or ability to obtain within a year.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and electrical analysis tools.
  • Strong communication and project management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
