EPC Project Manager
We are seeking an experienced EPC Project Manager to lead the end-to-end delivery of large-scale infrastructure / energy projects. This individual will be responsible for managing the full project lifecycle, from early-stage development support through execution and final handover, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest safety and quality standards. This position will need to be based on site (South East Asia) from time to time.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Planning & Execution
- Lead the overall planning, coordination, and execution of EPC projects across engineering, procurement, and construction phases.
- Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and resource plans to ensure timely delivery.
- Establish project execution strategies, milestones, and tracking frameworks.
- Contract & Procurement Management
- Support tendering processes including RFP preparation, contractor selection, and bid evaluations.
- Lead EPC contract negotiations and manage contractor and subcontractor relationships.
- Monitor contractual compliance and proactively manage claims, risks, and variations.
- Construction & Site Management
- Oversee on-site construction activities, ensuring adherence to timelines, budget, and quality standards.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary teams including engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning.
- Conduct regular site visits, progress reviews, and stakeholder meetings.
- Stakeholder & Interface Management
- Act as the primary interface between internal teams, contractors, consultants, and external stakeholders.
- Maintain strong communication across all project functions to ensure alignment and issue resolution.
- Cost, Risk & Performance Control
- Maintain strict cost control, reporting, and forecasting mechanisms throughout the project lifecycle.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks related to schedule, budget, and execution.
- Track project KPIs and provide regular updates to senior management.
- HSE & Quality Management
- Ensure full compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.
- Implement and monitor best practices across all phases of execution.
- Project Close-out & Handover
- Manage commissioning, testing, and project close-out activities.
- Coordinate handover to operations/asset management teams, ensuring all documentation and performance standards are met.
Requirements
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline
- Typically 7-12+ years of experience in EPC project delivery (renewables, infrastructure, or industrial projects preferred)
- Proven experience managing full project lifecycle from development to execution
Technical & Professional Skills
- Strong knowledge of EPC contracting, procurement, and construction execution
- Experience in budget management, scheduling, and project controls
- Familiarity with design review, constructability, and commissioning processes
- Ability to manage contractors, consultants, and multidisciplinary teams
