The Role: Forensics Project Manager

Role Overview

They are currently seeking a highly motivated Forensic/Investigative Engineer to join their team in Cincinnati, Ohio. This role involves conducting field investigations, analyzing structural failures, and providing expert insights into the causes of building and infrastructure issues.

The successful candidate will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive reports and expert testimony that support insurance claims, litigation, and remediation efforts.


Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct on-site forensic investigations of structural failures, construction defects, and material performance issues.
  • Analyze data, drawings, and specifications to determine root causes of failures.
  • Prepare detailed technical reports and expert opinions.
  • Collaborate with legal teams, insurance adjusters, and other stakeholders.
  • Provide expert witness testimony when required.
  • Support business development efforts through client engagement and proposal writing.

Education and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master's preferred).
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in Ohio or ability to obtain within 6 months.
  • 5+ years of experience in structural engineering, with a desire to get into forensics.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and report-writing skills.
  • Experience with structural analysis software and field inspection tools.
  • Ability to travel regionally for site investigations.
