Compensation: $135,000- $185,000 (DOE) + Bonus and Benefits

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Heavy Civil Project Manager to oversee complex infrastructure projects throughout the Seattle metro area and greater Pacific Northwest. This role is responsible for managing all phases of construction-from preconstruction through closeout-while ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with contract requirements.
Projects may include highways, bridges, utilities, marine work, earthwork, and large‑scale site development.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage heavy civil construction projects from preconstruction through final completion
- Oversee project budgets, schedules, cost forecasting, and change management
- Coordinate with superintendents, field teams, subcontractors, and suppliers
- Lead contract administration, including RFIs, submittals, change orders, and pay applications
- Maintain strong relationships with owners, designers, inspectors, and stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, environmental, and regulatory requirements
- Support estimating and preconstruction efforts on future work
- Track productivity, quantities, and labor performance to meet project goals
Experience Required
- 5-10+ years of project management experience in heavy civil construction
- Proven experience managing projects such as:
- Roads and highways
- Bridges and structures
- Utilities (water, sewer, storm)
- Marine or earthwork projects
- Experience with public works projects and agency clients (WSDOT, municipalities, ports)
- Demonstrated success managing subcontractors and self‑perform work
- Familiarity with alternative delivery methods (Design‑Build, GC/CM, CM at Risk) preferred
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
- Strong understanding of heavy civil construction means and methods
- Proficiency with project management software (Primavera, MS Project, Procore, HCSS, or similar)
- Solid financial and cost control skills, including forecasting and margin management
- Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and contracts
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem‑solving skills
- PE license or PMP certification is a plus, but not required
