Are you an experienced Electrical Estimator with a passion for high-voltage power delivery projects? Our client, a leading electrical contractor with a strong reputation in the T&D and substation sectors, is seeking a skilled professional to join their growing team in either Denver, Colorado or DeForest, Wisconsin.
About the Role:
As an Electrical Estimator, you will play a critical role in the pre-construction phase of high-voltage projects, including transmission, distribution, and substations. You'll work closely with project managers, engineers, and clients to develop accurate and competitive estimates that drive successful project execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for high-voltage electrical projects (T&D, substations)
- Analyze drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates
- Collaborate with engineering and project management teams to ensure alignment on scope and pricing
- Evaluate subcontractor and vendor quotes for accuracy and competitiveness
- Participate in bid reviews and client presentations as needed
Qualifications:
- 5-10+ years of experience in electrical estimating, specifically in high-voltage power delivery (T&D and substations)
- Strong understanding of electrical construction methods, materials, and industry standards
- Proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
