HVAC Sales Manager (Data Center, ANZ)

A global industrial HVAC manufacturer is seeking a Sales Manager to support its growing presence in the Data Center sector across Australia and New Zealand. With decades of experience and a broad portfolio of heat exchange and cooling technologies, the company is recognized for engineering reliability, energy efficiency, and strong after‑sales support.Role Overview
The Data Center segment is a key strategic growth area, and Australia & New Zealand are emerging as major regional hubs driven by hyperscale cloud expansion and rising colocation investments.Key Responsibilities
- Own and deliver the sales budget for the Data Center market in Australia & New Zealand.
- Identify, target, and secure new data center project opportunities across hyperscale and colocation customers.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with operators, consultants, EPCs, and key contractors.
- Engage early in project lifecycles to influence specifications and position relevant cooling/ heating solutions.
- Develop and execute market-specific sales strategies aligned with regional objectives.
- Collaborate with engineering, solutions support, and manufacturing teams to deliver competitive, technically sound proposals.
- Track market trends, customer investment plans, and competitor activity, sharing insights with regional leadership.
- Maintain accurate pipeline and forecasting data using CRM tools.
- Support long-term customer partnerships by understanding operational needs and growth plans.
- Ensure adherence to company compliance and integrity standards.
Requirements
- Minimum 7+ years' experience in front-end technical sales or business development, ideally within Data Centers, cooling technologies, or related infrastructure sectors.
- Proven track record in new business acquisition and achieving sales growth.
- Experience working in a matrix organization with cross-regional stakeholders.
- Entrepreneurial and proactive mindset with strong problem‑solving orientation.
- Effective communication, negotiation, and relationship‑building skills.
- Strong understanding of Data Center infrastructure and cooling technologies
- Fluency in English; additional languages beneficial.
- Willingness to travel across Australia & New Zealand.
