Lead ICT Engineer
Title: Lead ICT Engineer
- Type: Full-time, Remote (U.S.-based)
- Industry: Engineering (ICT for mission-critical and smart infrastructure)
- Travel: Up to 10% (within the U.S.)
- Focus: Lead design and engineering of ICT systems for hyperscale data centers and smart buildings.
Key Responsibilities
ICT Design Leadership (40%)
- Lead advanced ICT design tasks and computations.
- Develop scalable copper and fiber optic plant designs.
- Determine physical layer routing and utilization.
- Prepare Revit drawings, specifications, and visual aids.
- Manage project teams, forecast resources, and perform QA/QC reviews.
Construction Phase Oversight (20%)
- Survey existing conditions and prepare reports.
- Lead engineering team through construction documentation and administration.
- Review RFIs, submittals, punch lists, and change orders.
Client & Business Development (20%)
- Develop proposals, scopes, schedules, and budgets.
- Serve as primary client contact and possibly Client Program Manager.
- Contribute to technical papers and industry engagement.
Organizational Development (20%)
- Mentor junior staff and contribute to training programs.
- Support strategic planning and hiring efforts.
- Improve internal standards and procedures.
Hard Requirements
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
Certifications (Preferred)
- RCDD (Registered Communications Distribution Designer)
- CCIE (Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert)
Experience
- Minimum 8 years in engineering or a related field.
- At least 2 years working on mission-critical data center design projects.
Technical Proficiency
- Advanced knowledge of:
- Fiber optic and copper cabling systems
- Structured cabling design standards
- Proficient in:
- Revit or other CAD tools
- MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Ability to leverage AI and emerging technologies for workflow optimization.
