Mechanical Project Manager

A leading mechanical construction contractor is seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to lead large-scale HVAC, piping, and MEP construction projects. This role offers the opportunity to manage complex projects while working closely with field teams, engineers, clients, and leadership to deliver successful outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead mechanical construction projects from planning through completion.
  • Manage one large project or multiple concurrent projects.
  • Oversee project schedules, budgets, forecasting, and financial performance.
  • Coordinate with field teams, foremen, project engineers, subcontractors, and owners.
  • Drive project planning, resource allocation, and successful execution.
  • Manage customer relationships and support long-term business development efforts.
  • Mentor Project Engineers and junior team members.
  • Implement innovative construction methods, prefabrication strategies, and continuous process improvements.
  • Ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience managing mechanical construction projects.
  • Prior experience with a mechanical contractor or MEP contractor required.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC, piping, plumbing, and building systems.
  • Experience managing multiple projects and leading project teams.
  • Design-Build, IPD, and Lean Construction experience is advantageous.
  • Experience in healthcare, industrial, mission-critical/data center, or federal construction environments is highly desirable.
  • Strong financial management, forecasting, leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
