A privately held and well-established consulting firm specializing in engineering and infrastructure services is seeking a Bridge Design Engineer to support a diverse portfolio of infrastructure and building projects. This is a full-time opportunity based in Florida, ideal for an experienced engineer looking to take on a leadership role in design and project execution.

- Ability to work on large FDOT projects, while also working with local municipalities and state agencies

Role Summary:
The successful candidate will be responsible for the structural design and documentation of bridges, transportation structures, and buildings. This includes preparing detailed plans, specifications, and calculation packages, as well as coordinating with multidisciplinary teams and mentoring junior staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and draft construction plans for bridges and transportation structures using MicroStation.
- Develop structural plans for new buildings and renovations using Revit and/or AutoCAD.
- Prepare technical documentation including calculations, specifications, and construction reviews.
- Review contractor submittals such as shop drawings and RFIs.
- Lead and coordinate tasks with engineering support staff.
- Participate in quality control and assurance processes.
- Collaborate with other engineering disciplines on integrated project teams.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or similar
- Professional Engineer (PE) license highly preferred; Engineer Intern (EI) required
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in structural and bridge engineering, with a focus on transportation and building projects.
- Proficiency in MicroStation is required.
- Experience with Revit and AutoCAD is preferred.
- Strong skills in structural analysis, steel and concrete design.
- Broad understanding of engineering principles related to structural design.
