A well-established heavy civil contractor in the Utah County area is looking to add an experienced Pipe Foreman to lead crews on underground utility projects. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who understands production, can run a crew, and takes pride in delivering quality work.
Position Overview
The Pipe Foreman will oversee day-to-day field operations on utility projects including water, sewer, and storm drain installation. You'll be responsible for crew direction, productivity, safety, and ensuring work is completed to spec and on schedule.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage crews installing underground wet utilities (water, sewer, storm)
- Coordinate daily work plans, production goals, and equipment needs
- Read and interpret plans, specs, and grade stakes
- Work closely with superintendents and project managers to stay on schedule
- Ensure all work meets safety and quality standards
- Monitor production and help drive efficiency in the field
- Train and mentor crew members
Required Experience
- 5+ years of experience in heavy civil construction with a focus on utilities
- Prior experience as a Pipe Foreman or Lead Operator running crews
- Strong background in:
- Water, sewer, and storm drain installation
- Trenching, shoring, and excavation
- Reading plans and setting grade
- Ability to lead crews and keep jobs moving efficiently
- Solid understanding of construction sequencing and field operations
