About the Role
We are looking for a Principal Coastal Engineer to join a highly specialised consultancy delivering world-class solutions for coastal and marine infrastructure. This leadership role offers the chance to work on complex, high-profile international projects across Asia-Pacific and beyond. You will lead technical design, provide strategic input, and mentor a team of talented engineers, shaping sustainable solutions for ports, harbours, coastal protection, and climate resilience initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee coastal engineering design for major international projects, including breakwaters, seawalls, and beach nourishment schemes.
- Perform advanced modelling and analysis of waves, tides, and sediment transport.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated, innovative solutions.
- Provide technical leadership and mentor junior engineers.
- Engage with clients and stakeholders to ensure project objectives and quality standards are met.
- Drive best practices and innovation in coastal engineering and climate adaptation.
What We're Looking For
- Degree in Civil, Coastal, or Ocean Engineering; postgraduate qualifications preferred.
- 10+ years' experience in coastal engineering design and modelling.
- Strong knowledge of numerical modelling tools (e.g., MIKE21, SWAN, Delft3D) and coastal processes.
- Proven track record delivering large-scale or international coastal projects.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and client-facing skills.
