Principal Environmental Consultant
A trusted name in environmental consulting and remediation is seeking a Principal-Level Environmental Engineer or Geologist with deep expertise in environmental remediation and site investigation and a proven record of accomplishment in business development. This is a remote position, but candidates must reside in Missouri and have extensive local experience.
About the Role:
As a Principal Environmental Professional, you will lead complex remediation projects, mentor junior staff, and play a key role in expanding our client base. You'll work closely with leadership to shape strategy, drive growth, and deliver high-impact environmental solutions across Illinois and beyond.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage environmental remediation projects from concept to completion.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships; identify and pursue new business opportunities.
- Prepare proposals, scopes of work, and cost estimates.
- Provide technical oversight and quality assurance for project deliverables.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and regulatory agencies.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Environmental Engineering, Geology, or a related field.
- Professional licensure (PE or PG) in Missouri.
- 10+ years of experience in environmental consulting with a focus on remediation.
- Strong business development background with a history of growing a book of business.
- Deep knowledge of Illinois environmental regulations and local market dynamics.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and client management skills.
