Professional Civil/Environmental Engineer
Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled engineer to contribute to a variety of water and wastewater infrastructure initiatives. This position involves technical work across planning, design, and implementation phases, with opportunities to support both office-based and field activities.
Key Duties
- Lead and support technical efforts related to water treatment, wastewater systems, and conveyance infrastructure
- Contribute to project development through planning, design, and documentation
- Draft technical reports, design documents, and digital deliverables
- Create engineering drawings and detailed specifications
- Develop cost projections and budget estimates for infrastructure projects
- Conduct hydraulic and system modeling analyses
- Assist with regulatory compliance and evaluation of design alternatives
- Perform data collection, input, and interpretation
- Provide engineering oversight during construction phases
- Participate in on-site testing and pilot studies
Required Background
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
- 4-8 years of hands-on experience in water and wastewater engineering
- Professional Engineer (PE) license
- Strong analytical skills and ability to apply engineering principles creatively
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams
- Comfortable engaging with clients and stakeholders
- Self-driven, detail-oriented, and proactive
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
