Position Overview:
Our client is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Project Engineer to join their team in Concord, CA. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of hands-on experience in heavy civil construction, with a strong focus on paving and grading projects. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in planning, scheduling, and coordinating construction activities
- Support project managers and superintendents with daily operations
- Track project progress, budgets, and timelines
- Prepare and review submittals, RFIs, and change orders
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards
- Collaborate with subcontractors, suppliers, and field personnel
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (preferred)
- Minimum 1 year of experience in heavy civil construction, specifically paving and grading
- Proficiency in construction software (e.g., Bluebeam, Procore, AutoCAD)
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
