About the Project:

We are hiring a Project Engineer (PE) to support the delivery of a complex $100M+ wastewater treatment plant in the Quad Cities. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented engineer with a strong background in heavy civil and environmental infrastructure projects, particularly in water and wastewater treatment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in planning, coordination, and execution of all engineering aspects of the project.
  • Review and interpret design drawings, specifications, and submittals.
  • Support procurement of materials, equipment, and subcontractors.
  • Track and manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and other project documentation.
  • Collaborate with field teams to ensure constructability and resolve technical issues.
  • Monitor project progress and assist in schedule updates and cost tracking.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental regulations, permits, and quality standards.
  • Interface with clients, consultants, and regulatory agencies as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required or ability to obtain within 6 months.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in construction engineering, with at least 2 years on water/wastewater treatment plant projects.
  • Familiarity with process piping, concrete structures, and treatment technologies.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and construction management software (e.g., Procore, Primavera P6, Bluebeam).
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • OSHA 30 certification preferred.

Preferred:

  • Experience working on large-scale public infrastructure projects ($50M+).
  • Knowledge of local and federal environmental regulations.
  • LEED or ENV SP certification is a plus.
