About the Role

We are looking for a technically proficient and self-motivated Project Engineer with a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience. This role is ideal for a marine, electrical, or mechanical engineer with a strong background in vessel systems and a passion for offshore technical consultancy.

You will be responsible for conducting Dynamic Positioning (DP) FMEA development and proving trials, annual DP trials, and vessel inspections across the offshore oil, gas, and renewable energy sectors. The role also offers opportunities to grow into superintendency and project management for vessel maintenance, repairs, and dry dockings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and participate in DP FMEA Proving Trials and Annual DP Trials as a third-party surveyor.
  • Conduct Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) for DP systems on vessels.
  • Perform technical inspections and audits of offshore support vessels in accordance with IMCA and Oil Major standards.
  • Develop and implement Activity Specific Operating Guidelines (ASOG).
  • Liaise with shipyards, owners, and clients to ensure technical compliance and operational readiness.
  • Support project execution, including dry dockings, repairs, and upgrades.
  • Travel internationally and offshore as required for project assignments.

Requirements

  • Degree in Marine, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience, including direct involvement with vessel DPS as a consultant, verifier, or commissioning engineer.
  • Familiarity with IMCA guidelines, Oil Major requirements, and DP-related standards.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; able to work independently and manage multiple technical tasks.
  • Willingness to take on new responsibilities and continuously develop technical competencies.

Good-to-have Qualifications

  • IMCA Accredited DP Practitioner .
  • IMCA eCMID Accredited Vessel Inspector.
  • Experience with offshore support vessels used in exploration and subsea operations.
