A well-established, family-owned manufacturer of combustion and fuel oil systems is seeking a highly motivated Engineering Project Manager to join its team in Danbury, CT. With a century-long legacy of producing Made-in-the-USA products, the organization values integrity, patriotism, and a strong sense of community.
This mid-to-senior level role is ideal for an engineer ready to hit the ground running and take full ownership of projects from concept to completion. The Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing project profitability, schedules, and cross-functional coordination across engineering disciplines including electrical, mechanical, systems, programming, and field service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead design development from proposal through to shipping and startup
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, providing regular project updates
- Manage project schedules, budgets, and overall profitability
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to execute projects from sales through manufacturing and field commissioning
- Interpret and apply relevant codes and standards
- Read and understand electrical, mechanical, and construction drawings
- Provide technical support and assist with system startup and commissioning
- Utilize internal systems for project tracking and management
- Travel occasionally for meetings and site visits (approx. 10%)
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Systems Engineering, or a related field
- Experience with industrial combustion systems preferred
- Strong understanding of construction drawings and specifications
- Excellent communication and customer-facing skills
- Proficiency in DraftSight, AutoCAD, or similar design tools
- Proven project management capabilities
- Self-motivated, proactive, and takes pride in delivering high-quality work
