A multidisciplinary engineering firm with a strong public sector footprint is hiring a Senior Civil Engineer with deep water utility experience. This role sits within a close knit water infrastructure group and plays a meaningful part in delivering high impact municipal projects across California.

What You Will Work On
- Lead planning, design, and permitting for water, wastewater, recycled water, and stormwater infrastructure
- Support new and rehabilitated treatment facilities including groundwater, surface water, and wastewater systems
- Lead conveyance infrastructure efforts such as pipelines, pump stations, and storage facilities
- Serve in responsible charge, including signing and sealing engineering documents
- Manage multidisciplinary project teams and oversee scope, schedule, and quality
- Coordinate directly with clients, subconsultants, and regulatory agencies
- Support proposal development and select business development efforts
- Mentor and develop engineers pursuing long term careers in water utilities
Technical Focus
- Treatment systems including permitting and coordination with state regulatory agencies
- Utility conveyance systems and associated hydraulic and operational considerations
- Review and quality control of plans, specifications, cost estimates, and technical reports
- Engineering analysis, evaluation of alternatives, and clear technical documentation
What This Role Requires
- Licensed Professional Engineer in California
- Typically 8 or more years of progressive engineering experience, including project management
- Minimum of 3 years in responsible charge
- Strong background in municipal water, wastewater, and stormwater projects
- Familiarity with treatment and conveyance design standards and permitting processes
- Experience managing multiple projects concurrently
- Comfortable leading teams and communicating complex issues clearly
- Proficient with common civil engineering software such as Civil 3D, hydraulic modeling tools, and standard office applications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or related engineering field
