Senior Construction Scheduler - Data Center
We're looking to bring on a Senior Construction Scheduler who can manage multiple large-scale commercial projects across the U.S (roles open in various locations nationally)
What We're Looking For:
- Vertical construction experience (ideally data center focused)
- Professional with a strong construction background who prioritizes building excellence and is skilled in Critical Path Method (CPM) scheduling.
- Ideally, you've spent over a decade in commercial construction management, with at least five of those years focused on developing and maintaining CPM schedules.
- You're self-directed, highly organized, and an excellent communicator (writing and in person).
- You can balance the needs of several project teams at once, setting clear priorities and managing expectations effectively.
- You'll collaborate directly with project teams, owners, and subcontractors to develop and maintain project schedules.
- You'll also mentor others who are managing their own schedules, helping them apply CPM best practices and align their timelines with project execution goals.
- You thrive in both small and large team settings, can navigate different personalities and priorities, and embrace a collaborative, culture-driven work environment.
- Willingness to travel to support projects outside your home office is essential.
- You'll also contribute to the growth of our Scheduling Department by helping refine tools, templates, training materials, and other resources.
Technical Skills & Responsibilities:
- You should be highly skilled in either Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project, and open to becoming proficient in both.
- You'll be expected to build and manage baseline schedules using CPM principles, including detailed Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) for projects with over 2,500 activities.
- Strong communication skills are a must (you'll regularly brief leadership on schedule progress and updates).
- You'll lead weekly schedule update meetings, incorporating field updates and superintendent input.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Creating and adjusting schedule layouts
- Efficiently updating schedules
- Producing clear, actionable reports
- Analyzing critical paths and identifying key activities
- Detecting variances from previous baselines
- Filtering schedules by trade, area, or time-frame to generate targeted reports for daily use
- You'll also prepare Time Impact Analysis (TIA) reports using historical data and collaborate with teams to develop mitigation strategies when needed.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is important (you'll use it to analyze large datasets and compare multiple schedules).
- You'll also interface directly with clients, addressing their questions and concerns with professionalism and clarity.
