Responsibilities
Specify and select components including PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, relays, and instrumentation for control panels
Oversee panel fabrication, testing, and quality assurance in coordination with internal and external vendors
Lead programming and commissioning of PLC and SCADA systems for municipal and industrial water/wastewater applications
Design and develop electrical schematics and control panel layouts using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN)
Conduct site visits for installation, troubleshooting, and optimization of control systems
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop control strategies and ensure seamless integration
Produce detailed documentation including wiring diagrams, control narratives, and O&M manuals
Mentor junior engineers and uphold engineering standards and safety protocols
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems, or related discipline
7+ years of experience in control system integration and electrical design, preferably in water/wastewater projects
Proficiency in control panel design tools and standards (UL508A, NEC)
Strong knowledge of PLC platforms (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens) and SCADA software (e.g., Ignition, Wonderware)
Familiarity with industrial networking and communication protocols (Ethernet/IP, Modbus, Profibus)
Excellent troubleshooting skills and ability to manage multiple projects
Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites
