Senior Geologist or Engineer
Position Summary
Our client is seeking a Senior Environmental Engineer or Geologist to lead complex environmental projects throughout Southern California. This role involves managing site investigations, remediation design, regulatory strategy, and mentoring junior staff. You'll work closely with clients, regulators, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-impact environmental solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead environmental site assessments (Phase I/II ESAs), remedial investigations, and feasibility studies.
- Design and oversee implementation of soil, groundwater, and vapor remediation systems.
- Prepare technical reports, work plans, and regulatory submittals in compliance with DTSC, RWQCB, and EPA guidelines.
- Manage project budgets, schedules, and client communications.
- Provide technical mentorship and quality assurance for junior staff.
- Support business development through proposal writing and client engagement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Environmental Engineering, Geology, Hydrogeology, or related field.
- 8+ years of relevant experience in environmental consulting or engineering.
- California PE (Professional Engineer) or PG (Professional Geologist) license required.
- Strong knowledge of CERCLA, RCRA, and California environmental regulations.
- Experience with remediation technologies, risk assessment, and regulatory negotiations.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.
