We are seeking a Senior Environmental Remediation Engineer who is recognized as a go‑to technical expert in the field to join a high-performing and innovative environmental team.
In this senior-level role, you will serve as a Remediation Subject Matter Expert, providing advanced technical leadership for multidisciplinary project teams across the U.S. and abroad. You will shape remediation strategy, mentor technical staff, and support clients tackling some of the most challenging environmental issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead development of technical approaches and complete remediation designs for complex environmental projects.
- Oversee remedial action design, including preparation of plans, technical specifications, engineering calculations, bid documents, and execution plans.
- Apply deep expertise in both innovative and conventional remediation technologies, ensuring cutting-edge, technically sound solutions.
- Stay current with emerging remediation technologies and implementation methods.
- Serve as a mentor and technical guide to junior and mid-level engineers and scientists; support internal training initiatives.
- Provide thought leadership through conference participation, technical papers, and involvement in professional organizations.
- Support or lead technical components of proposals, scopes of work, and project budget development.
- Contribute to technical sales efforts and client engagement activities.
- Balance billable and non-billable responsibilities effectively while maintaining high-quality project delivery.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Environmental, Civil, Chemical, Geological Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 8 years (10+ preferred) of hands-on environmental remediation experience.
- Extensive background in site investigation, remediation design, and field implementation.
- Must be an expert in remediation - strong command of remediation technologies, design practices, and in situ chemical/biological treatment methods is highly valued.
- Working knowledge of CERCLA, RCRA, and state-led regulatory programs.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and technical writing skills.
- Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks, collaborate across teams, and communicate complex technical concepts clearly.
- Demonstrated capability and enthusiasm for mentoring developing professionals.
- Professional registration (PE) preferred.
- Existing client relationships are a plus.
- Travel required.
