The Opportunity:
We're seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join their dynamic team in Nashville, TN. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced engineer looking to lead complex projects, mentor junior staff, and contribute to a firm that values both technical depth and personal development. The role offers a clear path toward either technical specialization or leadership, depending on your career goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead structural design and analysis for diverse building projects.
- Attend client, architect, and contractor meetings; review documentation and provide technical guidance.
- Oversee design calculations, construction documents, shop drawing reviews, site visits, and RFIs.
- Ensure coordination across disciplines and maintain high-quality deliverables.
- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers, supporting their technical and professional growth.
- Perform QA/QC reviews and contribute to internal knowledge sharing.
What We're Looking For:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Master's preferred).
- PE or SE license required.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in structural engineering, with a focus on building design.
- Proficiency in structural design software (e.g., TSD, ETABS, RAM, RISA, EnerCalc, etc.).
- Experience with steel, concrete, and masonry systems in low- to mid-rise structures.
- Project management and client-facing experience preferred.
- Familiarity with Revit is a plus.
- Strong communication, leadership, and mentoring skills.
