Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced and results-driven Senior Superintendent to lead field operations on complex commercial construction projects exceeding $50 million. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing large-scale projects from groundbreaking through closeout, ensuring safety, quality, schedule, and budget goals are met or exceeded.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead all on-site construction activities, ensuring adherence to project plans, specifications, and schedules.
Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, vendors, and field staff to maintain high standards of workmanship and safety.
Develop and maintain detailed project schedules in collaboration with the project management team.
Conduct daily site walks, safety meetings, and progress reviews.
Ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety standards.
Serve as the primary liaison between field operations and project stakeholders.
Proactively identify and resolve issues that may impact project timelines or quality.
Mentor and develop assistant superintendents and field engineers.
Qualifications:
Minimum 10+ years of experience in commercial construction, with at least 5 years in a senior superintendent role.
Demonstrated success managing projects over $50 million, including high-rise, healthcare, education, or mixed-use developments.
Strong knowledge of construction means and methods, building codes, and safety regulations.
Proficient in scheduling software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project) and construction management platforms (e.g., Procore, PlanGrid).
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
OSHA 30 certification required; additional safety certifications a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
LEED accreditation or experience with sustainable building practices.
Experience working with union and non-union labor forces.
