A leading environmental consulting and engineering firm is seeking a Senior Water Resources Engineer to join its Portland-based team. This is a high-impact role for a seasoned professional passionate about solving complex water challenges through innovative, sustainable solutions.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage water resource projects from concept through construction.
  • Perform hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, simulations, and system analyses.
  • Design and implement stormwater, flood control, and watershed management solutions.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance and prepare technical reports, proposals, and permitting documentation.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and clients to deliver high-quality, cost-effective outcomes.
  • Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and evolving regulatory frameworks.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil, Environmental, or related Engineering field.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license strongly preferred.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in water resources engineering.
  • Proficiency in modeling tools such as HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, SWMM, and FLO-2D.
  • Strong understanding of local, state, and federal environmental regulations.
  • Excellent project management, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving capabilities.
  • Experience with AutoCAD or Civil 3D is a plus.
