As a structural engineering lead, you will be involved in spearheading the growth of the department. You will have access to a wide variety of existing clients and have the opportunity to further grow these relationships as well as bring on your own. You will work closely alongside share holders in decisions regarding different areas of growth as well as play a pivotal part in hiring and managing members of your team.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead structural engineering design across multiple projects, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards.
- Manage and mentor a team of engineers and technicians, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Manage large scale projects coordinating with architects, clients, other stakeholders to develop integrated solutions.
- Review and approve structural calculations, drawings, and specifications.
- Conduct site inspections and provide technical guidance during construction phases.
- Drive innovation in design practices, materials, and sustainability.
- Support business development efforts by contributing to proposals and client presentations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Structural or Civil Engineering.
- P.E. or S.E. Licensed
- 10-15+ years of experience in structural engineering, with a proven track record in leading complex projects.
- 3+ years of experience managing a team.
- Strong understanding of US building codes.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.
- Ability to work across multiple sectors and adapt to varying project scopes.
