Technical Director Progress Engineering (Water/wastewater treatment)

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead detailed design of process systems for wastewater treatment plants, including screening, physical-chemical treatment, biological treatment, odour control, disinfection, and sludge management.
- Design ancillary systems such as chemical dosing, ventilation, and drainage systems.
- Prepare Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), mass balance calculations, and Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).
- Develop equipment layout drawings and process equipment specifications, including performance criteria.
- Review and evaluate vendor submissions and ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams (civil, structural, electrical, mechanical, instrumentation, and digital specialists).
- Lead technical meetings, HAZOP sessions, and discussions with clients, contractors, and vendors.
- Provide engineering input for bids and proposals.
- Prepare and oversee testing and commissioning plans, including leading process commissioning activities.
- Mentor and guide a team of process engineers, ensuring QA/QC of designs.
- Stay updated on emerging wastewater and sludge treatment technologies and apply best practices in design.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Environmental Engineering (Master's preferred).
- Approximately 20 years of experience in process design for municipal and industrial water/wastewater treatment projects.
- Strong expertise in biological treatment processes
- Proficiency in process modeling and optimization using software such as BioWin, GPS-X, or SUMO.
- Hands-on experience preparing PFDs, P&IDs, and technical specifications for procurement.
- Proven ability to manage large-scale projects, prioritize tasks, and deliver within timelines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for client and team engagement.
