Traffic Project Manager
A leading engineering firm is seeking a Transportation Project Manager to oversee transportation infrastructure projects from planning through final design. This role involves managing multidisciplinary teams, ensuring timely and budget-conscious project delivery, and maintaining strong collaboration with clients and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead concept design studies, including traffic analyses.
- Prepare and revise construction documents (plans, specifications, estimates), reports, and milestone deliverables.
- Manage design and environmental permitting processes.
- Mentor and coordinate junior engineers and technicians.
- Conduct quality control reviews of design plans, specifications, and estimates.
- Organize and manage the delivery of project plans and specifications.
- Collaborate with clients, utility companies, permitting agencies, and the public.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in transportation design and project management.
- Experience with MDOT SHA and Maryland jurisdictions.
- Active PE license in Maryland (or ability to obtain a Virginia PE license within 6 months).
- Proficiency in:
- Traffic Engineering: Synchro, Vissim, Sidra
- Familiarity with permitting requirements for MDOT SHA and local government projects.
- Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
