Water/Wastewater Treatment Project Manager - Gresham, OR
Base Salary: $155,000 - $205,000 (DOE)
Bonuses + full benefits package not included in base range
A well‑established General Contractor in the Pacific Northwest is seeking an experienced Water/Wastewater Treatment Project Manager to lead complex municipal and industrial treatment projects. This role offers the opportunity to manage high‑impact work involving critical water and wastewater infrastructure upgrades across the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage full project lifecycle for water and wastewater treatment plant upgrades, expansions, and new facility construction
- Coordinate with owners, engineers, inspectors, permitting agencies, and subcontractors
- Oversee project schedules, budgets, cost tracking, QA/QC, and change order management
- Ensure project compliance with environmental regulations, safety standards, and technical specifications
- Lead construction planning, sequencing, procurement, and subcontractor oversight
- Provide technical guidance on treatment processes, equipment, and system integration
- Mentor project engineers and field supervision to support high‑performing teams
Experience Needed
- 7-20+ years of experience in Water/Wastewater Treatment Construction
- Strong background delivering projects involving process mechanical systems, treatment equipment, deep utilities, and concrete structures
- Proven success managing projects $10M-$150M+ in size
- Experience coordinating with municipalities and public agencies (DEQ, city public works departments, regional utilities, engineering consultants)
- Familiarity with alternative delivery methods (CMAR, GCCM, Design‑Build, Progressive Design‑Build)
- Proficiency with project management tools (P6, Procore, Bluebeam, etc.)
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field preferred
- Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple complex scopes and resolve field challenges proactively
- Working knowledge of treatment processes, mechanical systems, and regulatory requirements
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to job sites in the greater Portland/Gresham region
