Project Manager - Water/Wastewater Engineering (Remote)
Position Summary:
A growing engineering consulting firm is seeking a Water/Wastewater Project Manager to lead infrastructure projects remotely. This role is ideal for a technically strong and entrepreneurial professional who enjoys managing complex projects, building client relationships, and working in a flexible, remote-first environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and delivery of water and wastewater infrastructure projects including pump stations, pipelines, treatment systems, and rehabilitation programs.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, managing expectations, budgets, and schedules.
- Oversee engineering design, QA/QC, permitting, and construction support.
- Prepare proposals, scopes of work, and fee estimates for new projects.
- Manage subconsultants and coordinate multidisciplinary teams.
- Support business development efforts and identify new project opportunities.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a collaborative remote team culture.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or Mechanical Engineering.
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) license required.
- 8+ years of experience in water/wastewater engineering and project management.
- Strong technical background in municipal infrastructure design and delivery.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Comfortable working independently and managing remote teams.
- Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D, hydraulic modeling tools, and project management software.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive salary range: $120,000 - $160,000 annually.
