An established electrical contractor with a strong pipeline of mission critical and advanced technology projects is seeking a QA/QC Electrical Assistant Project Manager to support the delivery of complex electrical infrastructure projects throughout the Midwest.

This opportunity is ideal for an ambitious electrical construction professional looking to build a long-term career within the rapidly expanding data center sector. Working alongside experienced project leadership teams, you will play a key role in quality management, project coordination, construction delivery, and client-facing operations on some of the industry's most technically demanding projects.

The Opportunity

As a QA/QC Electrical Assistant Project Manager, you will support the successful execution of large-scale electrical construction projects from installation through commissioning and turnover. You will work closely with project managers, field leadership, subcontractors, vendors, and clients to ensure that quality standards, project schedules, and contractual deliverables are achieved.

This is a highly visible role with direct exposure to mission critical construction environments and excellent long-term progression opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the management and execution of QA/QC processes across electrical construction projects.
  • Assist with project coordination, scheduling, construction activities, and quality documentation.
  • Monitor installation quality and compliance with project specifications, codes, and contractual requirements.
  • Coordinate with field teams, subcontractors, vendors, inspectors, and commissioning stakeholders.
  • Track inspections, testing requirements, punch list items, and project closeout activities.
  • Maintain project documentation and quality records throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Assist project leadership in delivering projects safely, on schedule, and within budget.
  • Develop strong working relationships with clients and project stakeholders.
  • Travel to project sites as required throughout the Midwest and surrounding regions.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of electrical construction project management, field engineering, project engineering, assistant project management, or QA/QC experience.
  • Experience working directly for an electrical contractor is strongly preferred.
  • Exposure to electrical infrastructure installations including:
    • Low Voltage Systems (120V-600V)
    • Medium Voltage Distribution Systems
    • Conduit & Raceway Systems
    • Cable Tray Installations
    • Grounding & Bonding Systems
    • Underground Duct Banks & Cable Trenches
    • Medium Voltage Cable Terminations
  • Strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work within fast-paced mission critical construction environments.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel.

Preferred Background

  • Mission Critical or Data Center construction experience.
  • QA/QC exposure on large-scale electrical projects.
  • Advanced Technology, Semiconductor, Manufacturing, or Industrial construction experience.
  • Electrical trade background.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related discipline.
