Position Summary
The Civil Engineer will lead and support the planning, design, and delivery of transportation infrastructure projects-including county and federal highways, municipal roadways, bridges, and related improvements. The role involves technical design, project management, client coordination, and construction administration.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with clients to understand project vision, goals, and constraints.
- Analyze survey data, traffic patterns, and other engineering inputs to optimize roadway design for safety, efficiency, and environmental performance.
- Prepare detailed plans, drawings, and models for roadway, highway, and bridge‑related projects.
- Improve existing transportation infrastructure to enhance long‑term performance and public safety.
- Ensure projects adhere to all applicable DOT standards, codes, and safety regulations.
- Develop technical documents, including proposals, technical reports, project specifications, and internal memorandums.
- Provide construction administration services and support during project execution.

Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (ABET-accredited program)
- Engineer‑in‑Training (EIT) certification
- 4+ years of U.S.-based experience in roadway/highway design for state or federal projects
- Knowledge of federal and state roadway regulations and design processes
- Proficiency with transportation engineering design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Bentley)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Valid driver's license with an insurable driving record
Preferred:
- Professional Engineer (PE) license, or ability to obtain after hire
- Project engineering or project management experience
