Summary
A leading commissioning, building systems, and project management consulting firm is seeking a Mechanical Engineer / Commissioning Engineer to support complex healthcare, higher education, laboratory, life science, and mission-critical projects. This role offers the opportunity to work directly with owners, design teams, and contractors to ensure building systems perform as intended while contributing to some of the most technically challenging facilities in the industry.

  • Developing commissioning plans, pre-functional checklists, and functional performance test procedures.
  • Performing field inspections, system verification, and functional testing of HVAC, plumbing, controls, and central utility systems.
  • Identifying deficiencies and collaborating with project teams to resolve technical issues.
The Mechanical Engineer / Commissioning Engineer should have the following qualifications:
  • 7+ years of experience in mechanical engineering, commissioning, building systems consulting, or MEP project delivery.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, chilled water systems, heating hot water systems, controls, and building automation systems.
  • Ability to travel to project sites throughout the Bay Area as required.
