Position Overview: Construction Administrator
The firm is seeking a high-impact, detail-oriented Construction Administrator who is passionate about construction excellence and committed to ensuring that built environments align with design intent. This role involves close collaboration with architects, engineers, interior designers, project owners, and contractors.
The ideal candidate is motivated by meaningful design, thrives in a team‑oriented setting, and brings strong problem‑solving capabilities to every project.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Coordinate project documentation and workflow during construction phases for complex projects across sectors such as education and healthcare.
- Manage submittals, RFIs, proposal requests, ASIs, contracts, and other construction-related documentation.
- Review submittals for compliance with design intent.
- Approve contractor pay applications.
- Provide project oversight to ensure adherence to contract requirements.
- Represent the firm professionally with clients, contractors, and consultants.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary design teams and consultants.
- Travel to jobsites throughout the central Texas region and beyond as needed.
What You Bring
The ideal candidate is a self‑starter with strong communication and organizational skills. Requirements include:
- 10+ years of experience in architecture, engineering, or construction
- Bachelor's degree preferred (background in architecture is a bonus)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Familiarity with Newforma is a plus
- Extensive knowledge of construction processes, AIA documents, building trades, materials, and related products
- Ability to work effectively in time-sensitive environments
