Water/Wastewater Engineer
Location: Tucson, AZ
Compensation: $95,000 - $125,000 + bonus potential
Schedule: Full-Time
A well-established multidisciplinary consulting firm is seeking a Water/Wastewater Engineer to join its growing team in Tucson. This role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of municipal water, wastewater, and infrastructure projects while collaborating with experienced technical leaders and supporting junior staff development.
Responsibilities
- Prepare water and wastewater system improvement plans, master plans, and infrastructure designs.
- Develop engineering reports, technical studies, and construction documents.
- Design and draft plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Coordinate with project managers, clients, and subconsultants throughout project delivery.
- Support proposal preparation, client development efforts, and project pursuits.
- Participate in industry events and professional organizations.
- Monitor project budgets, schedules, and deliverables.
- Mentor junior engineers, EITs, and design staff.
- Assist with quality control and technical review of engineering documents.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or a related Engineering discipline.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Arizona or ability to obtain through reciprocity.
- 4+ years of engineering experience.
- Experience with municipal water and/or wastewater infrastructure projects.
- Ability to manage project budgets, schedules, and documentation.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Strong technical writing and client communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with hydraulic or utility modeling software.
- Background in municipal infrastructure planning or master planning.
- Previous experience mentoring junior staff.
- Involvement in business development, proposals, or client management.
