A fast-growing, specialist fire engineering consultancy is looking to appoint a Fire Safety Lead to support its continued expansion across Australia.
This is a key hire with leadership and client-facing responsibilities, offering the opportunity to shape a growing team and play a central role in business development across both Western Australia and Victoria.
The Role
- Lead delivery of fire engineering projects across residential, commercial, and industrial sectors
- Act as the technical authority for fire safety design, strategy, and compliance
- Develop performance-based fire engineering solutions and oversee technical outputs (FERs, PBDBs, modelling)
- Manage and grow client relationships, acting as a key point of contact
- Support business development and market growth across Perth and/or Melbourne
- Mentor and develop junior engineers, building team capability
- Engage with approval authorities, stakeholders, and multidisciplinary design teams
Requirements
- Degree in Fire Engineering or a related discipline
- Proven experience delivering fire engineering projects within Australia
- Strong understanding of NCC/BCA and relevant Australian Standards
- Experience in:
- Performance-based design and fire strategy
- Fire modelling (CFD, egress, etc.)
- Regulatory engagement and approvals
- Ideally CPEng and/or NER (or working towards)
- Demonstrated capability or interest in client engagement, BD, and team leadership
