- Author thorough, well-organized reports suitable for insurance, legal, and litigation support purposes
- Develop repair recommendations and cost estimates tied to investigation findings
- Collaborate with building science and envelope specialists on investigations requiring multidisciplinary input
- Coordinate with clients, legal counsel, insurance professionals, and third-party consultants as needed
- Support or serve as expert witness in legal and insurance proceedings
- Contribute to the development and growth of the structural practice within the firm
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior team members as the group grows
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering; advanced degree a plus
- Minimum 7 years of structural engineering experience with a meaningful forensic or existing structures component
- Active PE licensure required; SE licensure required
- Broad working knowledge of structural systems, building codes, and construction practices across material types
- Demonstrated experience producing technical reports for insurance, legal, or claims support
- Prior expert witness experience preferred
- Collaborative by nature with comfort working in a multidisciplinary setting
