The Role

The Managing Director is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing all aspects of the Tampa office, with a strong focus on repair, restoration, and forensic structural engineering services. This includes setting the strategic vision, driving business development in these specialized markets, and ensuring operational excellence. The Managing Director will act as the primary leader for the region, representing the firm in the marketplace, building and maintaining strong client relationships, and leading a talented team of engineers and professionals. This role combines executive-level leadership with hands-on involvement in complex investigations, restoration projects, and client engagements. The successful candidate will have the autonomy to shape the office's growth trajectory, expand market presence, and foster a culture of collaboration and innovation.


Key Duties

  • Provide overall leadership and strategic direction for the Tampa office.
  • Drive business development initiatives in repair, restoration, and forensic structural engineering.
  • Manage client relationships and ensure superior project delivery for complex investigations and restoration projects.
  • Oversee office operations, financial performance, and resource allocation.
  • Mentor and develop staff, fostering a collaborative and inclusive culture.
  • Represent the firm in the local community and industry organizations.

Key Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master's preferred).
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
  • 15+ years of experience in structural engineering, with significant expertise in repair, restoration, and forensic investigations.
  • Proven leadership in managing teams and projects.
  • Strong business development skills and established client network in Florida.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and strategic planning abilities.
  • Demonstrated success in growing an office or practice area.
