A well-established general contractor in the Seattle area is seeking an experienced Heavy Civil Project Manager to oversee infrastructure projects including roadways, utilities, bridges, and site development. This role offers the opportunity to lead complex public works projects from pre-construction through closeout.
Responsibilities
- Manage all phases of heavy civil construction projects, ensuring delivery on time and within budget.
- Lead project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
- Coordinate with field teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and public agencies.
- Oversee contract administration, change orders, and cost control.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, environmental regulations, and quality control procedures.
- Maintain accurate project documentation and reporting.
- Foster strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and project teams.
Experience Required
- Minimum 7 years of experience in heavy civil construction project management.
- Proven track record managing multi-million-dollar infrastructure projects.
- Experience with DOT and municipal contracts, particularly in the Pacific Northwest.
- Proficiency in CPM scheduling tools (Primavera P6, MS Project) and construction management software (Procore, HeavyJob, HeavyBid).
- Strong understanding of earthwork, utilities, concrete, and structural components.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Professional certifications such as PE or PMP are preferred.
- OSHA-30 certification or willingness to obtain.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to job sites throughout the Seattle region.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
