MEP Project Engineer
This role supports the delivery of both small and large-scale construction projects, while acting as a technical lead on smaller assignments. You'll work closely with project teams to ensure jobs are delivered on time, within budget, and to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate with internal teams, management, and external stakeholders, providing regular updates on project schedule and financial performance
- Manage and process change orders, ensuring accuracy, documentation, and proper tracking
- Evaluate and communicate the cost and schedule impact of project changes
- Review and interpret project drawings, specifications, and technical documentation
- Compile and submit complete submittal packages and project documentation
- Procure equipment, materials, and services in line with project requirements
- Assist in the selection and engagement of subcontractors
- Support problem-solving on complex technical and project-related challenges
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field (or equivalent industry experience)
- Minimum 3 years of experience in construction, mechanical contracting, or a related environment
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems such as HVAC, plumbing, and piping
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and familiarity with CAD software
