Base Salary: $140,000 - $160,000 (DOE)

The Opportunity

We are representing one of the most respected Owner's Representatives in the U.S. data center market, known for delivering some of the most complex, high-value mission‑critical facilities in the country. Due to continued growth in the Southeast, they are seeking an experienced MEP Manager to support major data center construction projects across North Carolina.

This role offers the chance to work client-side on flagship hyperscale and colocation developments, partnering with best-in-class designers, constructors, and vendors.


Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the Owner's Representative for all Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) scopes on large-scale data center projects
  • Oversee MEP design development, coordination, installation, testing, and commissioning
  • Manage MEP contractors, vendors, and consultants to ensure schedule, budget, quality, and performance compliance
  • Review submittals, RFIs, change orders, and construction documentation
  • Monitor installation against design intent and industry best practices for mission-critical facilities
  • Support site inspections, QA/QC processes, and integrated systems testing (IST)
  • Provide technical leadership during design, construction, and closeout phases
  • Interface directly with owners, developers, and senior stakeholders

Required Experience & Qualifications

  • 5+ years of direct data center construction experience (hyperscale, colocation, or mission-critical)
  • 10+ total years of MEP construction experience, including work on projects valued at $150M+
  • Strong background in electrical and mechanical systems for mission-critical facilities
  • Experience working client-side or as an Owner's Rep strongly preferred
  • Ability and willingness to travel, or be local to North Carolina, or relocate
  • Proven leadership, coordination, and contractor management skills
