Mid-Level Engineer (Background in Highway/Bridge) - Atlanta, GA
Role Overview
We are seeking a Mid level civil engineer to join our growing team in either our‑Atlanta office location. This individual will contribute to a variety of site and transportation‑related assignments, supporting senior staff throughout all project phases from initial planning through final design and construction support.
What You'll Do
- Assist with the development of roadway layouts, including horizontal and vertical geometry, under the direction of senior engineering staff.
- Prepare temporary traffic control layouts consistent with applicable industry guidance and safety standards.
- Create plans for grading, stormwater management, erosion control, and related civil site elements.
- Participate in field reviews and assist in documenting site observations.
- Provide support during construction, which may include responding to contractor questions, reviewing submittals, or preparing revisions.
- Contribute to a wide range of project tasks as assigned, depending on workload and project needs.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a closely related discipline; an advanced degree is a plus.
- Between two and five years of relevant civil engineering experience.
- Familiarity with fundamental engineering concepts and design principles.
- Strong communication skills and reliability in meeting deadlines.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Preferred Experience
- Prior exposure to design software such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, or Open Road Design
- Experience using platforms like OpenRoads Designer or Civil 3D is highly desirable.
- Previous internship or professional experience in transportation or site design environments.
