The Opportunity

We are seeking a Project Engineering Manager - Water / Wastewater (PE) to join our growing Orlando-based water team. This role blends technical leadership, project execution, and team coordination, supporting the successful delivery of municipal water and wastewater treatment and infrastructure projects across Florida and the broader Southeast region.

The position offers the opportunity to play a key leadership role within a well-established technical organization, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams nationwide, and contribute to infrastructure projects that directly support community health, system resilience, and long-term growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, design, and execution of municipal water and wastewater treatment and infrastructure projects
  • Serve as a technical and engineering manager supporting Project Managers and project teams
  • Prepare, review, and approve engineering calculations, technical memoranda, engineering reports, plans, and specifications
  • Coordinate design efforts across internal disciplines, subconsultants, and external partners
  • Support project delivery through feasibility studies, design development, permitting, and construction-phase services
  • Participate in client meetings, technical reviews, and constructability reviews
  • Assist with project scopes, schedules, budgets, and quality control processes
  • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior and mid-level engineers

Required Qualifications

  • Professional Engineer (PE) License
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or Chemical Engineering (or related discipline)
  • Experience delivering municipal water and/or wastewater projects
  • Strong understanding of treatment process design, regulations, and utility standards
  • Proven ability to lead technical teams and coordinate multidisciplinary project efforts
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Experience

  • Experience working with Florida municipal utilities or regulatory agencies
  • Background in treatment plant upgrades, expansions, rehabilitation, or resilience projects
  • Experience supporting large, complex, or programmatic infrastructure projects
