A leading, nationally recognized mechanical contractor is seeking a Project Executive to join its Houston leadership team. This is a high-impact role for someone who thrives on leading large-scale work, developing teams, and driving operational excellence across complex projects.
You'll oversee a portfolio of major projects across sectors such as data centres, healthcare, commercial, and advanced manufacturing, playing a critical role in both project delivery and strategic growth of the Houston operation.
What You'll Be Doing
- Providing executive oversight across multiple large-scale mechanical construction projects from preconstruction through closeout
- Leading and developing teams of Project Managers, Engineers, and field leadership
- Owning financial performance across your portfolio, including budgeting, forecasting, and risk management
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships at an executive level
- Partnering closely with preconstruction and estimating teams on pursuits and strategic planning
- Driving consistency, process improvement, and best-in-class project delivery standards
- Mentoring future leaders and helping shape the long-term direction of the business in Houston
What We're Looking For
- 10+ years of experience in mechanical construction, with recent experience in a senior leadership or executive-level role
- Proven track record overseeing large, complex MEP projects or portfolios (typically $50M+)
- Strong financial acumen with experience managing P&L, forecasting, and project performance at scale
- Established presence in the Texas market and strong industry relationships
- Leadership style that is strategic, collaborative, and people-focused
- Experience with self-perform mechanical scopes highly preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (preferred)
