About the Role:
We are seeking a driven and technically proficient Project Engineering Geologist to join our growing team focused on delivering geotechnical solutions for infrastructure, energy, and environmental projects across California. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment and is passionate about applying geological expertise to solve complex engineering challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support geotechnical investigations, including field exploration, logging, sampling, and instrumentation.
- Develop geologic models and hazard assessments for infrastructure and development projects.
- Prepare and review technical reports, including fault rupture hazard evaluations, landslide assessments, and seismic hazard analyses.
- Collaborate with geotechnical engineers, environmental scientists, and project managers to deliver integrated solutions.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and client communications.
- Mentor junior staff and contribute to internal knowledge sharing and training.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering Geology, Geology, or related field.
- Professional Geologist (PG) license in California required; Certified Engineering Geologist (CEG) preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in engineering geology, ideally with exposure to infrastructure or energy projects.
- Strong technical writing and communication skills.
- Proficiency in GIS, geologic modeling software, and data visualization tools.
- Ability to travel for fieldwork across California as needed.
